There's a little tapas shop in Poble Sec that steals your heart the moment you step in.  Walls lined with bottles, wines, spirits and standing room only space for food. Montaditos (tapas on a slice of bread) like this one with smoked salmon, greek yogurt and truffled honey were what food memories are all about.

It's a family run business whose charm wanted us coming back for more.  Near closing time when we stopped by I asked a woman where to throw away our napkins, and in Spanish she replied 'anywhere'. I turned around, embarrassed and unsure where she meant.  She took my napkin and threw it on the floor and laughed. ''See, anywhere!''  Then took Adam's and with a nonchalant wink threw that on the floor too.  '' No worries here!''

Sold me that very moment on Quimet i Quimet.

p.s. Conde Nast wrote about it here too!
